Winnipeg is located at the point the Red and Assiniboine Rivers meet, almost slapping in the center of North America. Named after nearby Lake Winnipeg, it has several interesting tourist attractions.
Located half an hour’s drive northeast of Winnipeg, on the banks of the Red River, is the Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site.
