Largest Oceans and Seas in the World

Most people know that an ocean is bigger than a sea, but after a little research, I came up with a list that might surprise you more than you think.

Pacific Ocean (70,017,000 sq Miles)

Atlantic Ocean (36,415,000 sq Miles)

Indian Ocean (28,617,000 sq Miles)

Arctic Ocean (4,732,000 sq Miles)

Coral Sea (1,850,000 sq Miles)

Arabian Sea (1,492,000 sq Miles)

South China Sea (1,423,000 sq Miles)

The South China Sea has one-third of the world’s shipping sailing through its waters and that it is believed to hold huge oil and gas reserves beneath its seabed.
