Things to Do in Orlando [2023]

I couldn't list Orlando attractions without mentioning Walt Disney World at the top. For many, Walt Disney World is synonymous with Orlando.

Walt Disney World Resort

Universal Orlando Resort

Universal Studios was considered the second subsidiary after Walt Disney World. However, in recent years Universal has added new hotels, rides, food, and a water park.

Like Universal, SeaWorld Orlando has undergone some changes in recent years. Apart from its animal habitats and shows, it has also added several thrilling roller coasters.

Old Town

Old Town is a recreation of a historic Florida town with shops, dining, attractions and an amusement park.

Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens

The Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens is a historic center in Orlando. It was originally opened in 1923.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

The Kennedy Space Center is a significant part of Central Florida’s history, and makes for a very popular day trip from Orlando.

Discovery Cove is unlike any other amusement park. It's part aquarium, part all-inclusive resort and part waterpark.

All of the major theme parks have their own water park, and there are even more independent parks or smaller hotel parks. Some Orlando water parks to consider include.

Water Parks

LEGOLAND Florida makes for one of my favorite easy day trips from Orlando. Legos are brought to life with full-size creations throughout the park and attractions.

The wheel is the main attraction at ICON Park, an amusement area on International Drive. "i-drive" as it is known to the locals.
